“This is the first follow-up EP for Volume XII. It is the score for a movie that’s playing out in my head when I close my eyes. Jake’s voice samples in “Waking In A Daze-Realization” are from an old video of him trying to sell a Wham wall clock. The Electric Mainline Players: The Human Infinipede

The Electric Mainline Players: The Human Infinipede
This is the second The Electric Mainline Players album, recorded in 2011.

“It took nearly two years for Jake and I to assemble this second collection of madness. We would send tracks back and forth via e-mail, fine tuning this and that until each song was sufficiently strange and unusual. I had a vision of something being processed through a system, continuously being reduced, reused and recycled literally into oblivion, to a point where this something breaks down into concentrated, pure evil diamond that rips a hole in the fabric of the universe to a parallel dimension where it can continue to exist, like a Satanic particle accelerator. I use my circuit bent Scientific Toys digital drums on a few tracks and Jake plays his Bontempi Hit Organ on several tracks. “Sermon, pt. 2” features an old, unused freestyle and some ad-libs from Crow and Prophet in 2007. The beat was made of modem noises. “Winding Down” features J. Matthew Snell on guitar and Francis Co on bass, with some background voices by Robert Oh. “Ye Cats” features recordings from a 2006 salvia study by Batrick, Magitek and myself.”

The Electric Mainline Players: All Slaughter Contains Laughter

The Electric Mainline Players: All Slaughter Contains Laughter
This is the first The Electric Mainline Players album, recorded in 2010.

“After working on a few tracks when we were roommates back in 2007, I had wanted to record a full album with Jake for quite some time. Its pretty strange that Jake moved to N. Carolina and I moved to Toronto before it actually happened. I recorded the drums on the first track using my circuit bent Scientific Toys digital drums. The voices of Bonnie and Clayton from “Business Class” are actually bloopers from a commercial Vagabondage and I put together for The Clothing Show that I just couldn’t let go unused.”

VARN Industries: East Central Stairs

VARN Industries: East Central Stairs
This is the twenty-fourth VARN Industries album, recorded in 2007.

“This is the third and final EP to Volume VII was recorded over the first few weeks of June. Imagine two paths leaving from a village through some woods. They now intersect again here at an abandoned hospital. Still using my brother’s keyboard a little here, but in a completely different way than on Medium Tackle Box. Jake Newton once again guests on a track, this time the first track. The second track is a Batrick’s Spy Kit remix of a track from the previous EP. The third track features audio from a porn filmed in Bangkok and the fourth features samples from the Avatar: The Last Airbender episode “The Desert” and the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Strange New Worlds.” Both episodes have main characters tripping balls. I achieved the sampling process by recording the episodes on my DV-R, then replaying them through my old stereo and recording the samples I wanted on a cassette. Then I came over to my desk and played them on my old record player/cassette player stereo I have plugged into my computer, which I used to record and edit the samples for this song. The final track was completely created by my daughter Lilith, who was five at the time.”
